Anfernee Simons' crazy potential is known all throughout Portland. He scored 37 points in the last game of the season. The last Blazers rookie to do that was none other than Damian Lillard. Lillard is arguably the best Portland Trail Blazer of all time, except maybe behind Clyde Drexler. Anfernee Simons came right out of high school, and I know what your thinking... How!?!?. Well, he found a loophole. He did one extra year in high school.
I think Anfernee Simons could be better than Damian Lillard. The reason I think this is Anfernee Simons in an interview he said "I NEED to get better on my defense." In CJ's and Dame's rookie years, they didn't even talk about getting better at defense. On offense, Anfernee Simons can "fly!" He can do windmills and many other types of dunks. He needs to get more strength, but he is only 19 that will solve itself. I'm excited about what next season holds for him.
Sounds like he is the 'real deal'. How quickly we forget.....I didn't recall that he had that many points in the final regular season game. If he is in the rotation next year (off the bench) who becomes disposable? Evan Turner? Seth Curry? Rodney Hood? All veteran players who know their roles. How tall is he? Can he play a 3?
ReplyDeleteEvan Turner is not very good he is 34 years of age. That is old (for a NBA player). He is 6.4" which is 1 inch taller than Dame and CJ. He can't play 3 he is too short. He could be a backup point guard or a backup for CJ.
